Ross Hancock

Here is how I would uphold you, your family, your home value, your security, your dignity, your future — by fighting for:

  • Equality in the workplace, in the justice system, and in our lives.
  • The safety and maximum enrichment of children in our schools.
  • The full restoration of Florida’s environmental assets.
  • Access to excellent health care for everyone, with privacy between patients and their providers with regard to reproductive health and all other care.
  • The diversification of Florida’s economy to add hundreds of thousands of clean manufacturing and technology jobs, and the prosperity that comes with that.
  • Access for all to virtually-free higher education and vocational training, and public-service programs for graduates.
  • Livable wages for the people who work so hard doing the things we need done, including a boost in minimum wage.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Universal basic income.
  • No drilling offshore or anywhere.
  • Decriminalization of marijuana.
  • An end to privatization and deprofessionalization of public service.
  • Reform of the monetary bail system that leads to inequitable and expensive incarceration.
  • Compassionate policies for refugees.
  • Expand state voting rights to 17-year-olds.
  • The right of municipalities to designate gun-free zones, as well as locally relevant environmental and wage-protection ordinances.
  • Campaign finance reform, a ban on “pay-to-play” lobbying, and strict government ethics laws and enforcement.
  • Ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.

In support of an agenda to help make a better Florida, I have been endorsed by:

  • United Teachers of Dade
  • Broward Teachers Union
  • Florida AFL-CIO
  • Florida Education Association
  • United Faculty of Miami Dade College
  • Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida
